As a congregation, we at Temple Isaiah believe that one of our most important goals is to always uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior among all members of our community. This is entirely consistent with our own mission and values as a congregation, as well as with the URJ’s renewed emphasis on ensuring that its member congregations remain safe and sacred spaces for all.
That is why the Temple Board developed and approved a formal Code of Ethics and procedures for investigating any allegations of unethical behavior against members of our community. It is important to note that this effort was undertaken proactively and not in response to any specific incident or allegation of unethical conduct. We are proud to share this Code with you and to ensure that our congregation truly embodies the ethical values of holiness, honesty, honor, and compassion.
We invite you to read and reflect on our Code of Ethics. Once you have a chance to look them over, we are all available to discuss any questions or comments you have as we strive to create the community we desire.
