Purim may be a holiday that only lasts one day (or two if you live in a walled city, occasionally three if those two days overlap with Shabbat), but here at Temple Isaiah we kept up the Purim celebrations for a whole week!
Things kicked off on Sunday, March 9 with Purim celebrations at Kulanu, and tabling at the Jewish Federation’s Purim Palooza.
On Thursday, March 13, adults gathered together for a festive megillah reading during Purim on Tap. Temple Isaiah Preschool enjoyed a spirit week culminating in costumes and Purim festivities on Friday, March 14. Children played in a glow room, took funny photos, assembled Mishloach Manot, and played carnival games. On Friday evening, we welcomed hundreds to our annual Purim Dinner, Spiel, and Service. This year’s Purim Spiel featured the music of Taylor Swift, and was performed with enthusiasm by students in Next Dor.
The festivities didn’t stop there! On Saturday evening, March 15, we introduced our inaugural Purim After Dark event, where more than a hundred young Jewish adults gathered to celebrate Purim in style.
