Temple Isaiah, JCRC, and PATH Listening Campaign and Candidates ForumMore than 100 TI members recently participated in a listening campaign where they answered questions, discussed themes, and shared personal stories.
Starting in mid-September, we held approximately 15 sessions — some in private homes and others at the Temple with targeted groups. Listening sessions also took place across Howard in synagogues, churches, and mosques as part of an effort by PATH (People Acting Together in Howard), a nonpartisan, multi-faith, and multi-racial organization committed to improving life in our county and state. The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Howard County is a member of PATH, the group that helped us organize our listening effort; it included listening sessions at Oseh Shalom, Beth Shalom Congregation, Bet Aviv, Kol Nefesh, and Columbia Jewish Congregation.
The community issues identified will be the issues with which PATH engages our local politicians. PATH is organizing a Candidates Forum to meet directly with candidates for the County Council and County Executive. The perspectives of these individuals will have an enormous impact on our community for a minimum of the next four years. You can register for this event by clicking HERE.
